Will two misdemeaners prevent me from obtaining my real estate license?

I have made a couple mistakes a dui in 06 and a marijuana possession ticket in 08. Both misdemeaners and the only marks on my record, though I realize they are pretty bad marks. I'm in california and I've been told different things by people, some say as long as I disclose them I'll be fine and others say probably not but I would like to know if there are any specific guidelines as to what will (for sure) keep an applicant from receiving a license

    It shouldnt keep you from getting a license but it will slow down the process of getting one right away it may take you a month or 2 while they investigate it and have you fill out a form what happened. But if you committed fraud or embezzlement you will have a problem. good luck.

    I dont think so . maybe if the charges were embezzlement or something of that nature
